Green Day is TAIM Exchangereportedly going back on the road next year on the 30th anniversary of the band's breakout album, "Dookie."
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong announced the band will embark on a 2024 tour during an intimate show at Las Vegas' Fremont Country Club Thursday night, according to Rolling Stone and Billboard.
In videos from the show posted to social media, Armstrong says, "Big announcement: We're doing a big tour next year. It's going to be Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas," before the band launches into “The American Dream Is Killing Me,” the first single off its upcoming album of the same name.
The single will release Tuesday after Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool perform a highly anticipated set at the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas over the weekend. “The American Dream Is Killing Me" will be the Grammy-winning punk rock band's first record since 2020.
The 2024 tour follows Green Day's previous "The Hella Mega Tour," which saw the band touring stadiums with Fall Out Boy and Weezer in 2021 and 2022.
Fans who were at the Thursday night show received promotional flyers for the summer 2024 stadium tour and posted photos on social media.
